On Letting Go: Not Everything Is Meant to Stay

Why is it so hard to let go—even when we know something isn’t right for us?

We hold on to jobs that drain us.
We hold on to relationships that no longer align.
We hold on to old versions of ourselves—even when we’ve outgrown them.

At first, it seems like holding on is the right thing to do. We convince ourselves:

📌 “Maybe if I try harder, it’ll work.”
📌 “Maybe I just need to be more patient.”
📌 “Maybe things will go back to how they used to be.”

But here’s the truth: Not everything is meant to stay.

📌 Some things end because you’ve learned what you needed to learn.
📌 Some doors close because they would have kept you small.
📌 Some people leave because their role in your story is complete.

Letting go isn’t easy. It requires grieving what could have been while trusting in what’s still to come.

But what I’ve learned is this: holding on to what no longer serves you is one of the fastest ways to block what’s truly meant for you.

The space you’re afraid to clear? That’s the space where something better is waiting.
